Mary Elle is a watercolor artist, living in Oregon City, Oregon. Retired from the sign company that she and her husband owned, she now spends her time painting, inspired by travel, nature and the dahlias she grows in her garden.
Steve Elle makes villages on rocks. He was first inspired many years ago when he and his family went to Epcot Center in Florida, where he purchased a ceramic village consisting of five simple buildings. Upon returning home, he designed a Mexican village he named Margaritaville to fit on a bookcase behind the couch. Since that time, he has honed his village-building skills and now forms his bases from foam to make them more portable (and more easily shipped).
